LOCAL WOMEN'S GROUP ORGANIZES A WOMEN'S EQUALITY DAY CELEBRATION TO HONOR THE 19TH AMENDMENT

The PerSisters, a local women's group who formed after the Women's March to stay politically active, will hold a Women's Equality Day celebration and advocacy resource fair. The event is titled, The Many Different Faces of Wonder Women - How We Stay Engaged, and it is designed to help women get involved in social justice issues and/or keep them involved. Several non-profit organizations and groups will be at the event to present information about their mission and ways for women to get active. Local women's activists and elected officials will provide inspirational speeches throughout the afternoon to honor the accomplishments women have made in the past and to remind attendees to continue to stay involved to ensure a better future.
