Our annual Houston Women March On event will take place January 25, 2020. We gather on Sabine Street near Buffalo Bayou at 9:00 a.m. and start marching at 10:00 a.m. to Eleanor Tinsley Park. Our theme this year is “Powerful TOGETHER” and we need to raise $85K to support the March and 2020 Election activities.
Did you know since January 2017, our all-volunteer organization has sponsored more than 100 events, trainings and actions, mobilizing more than 40,000 people? After women and their allies march with us, they go on to register voters, join nonprofits, support candidates, and even become candidates themselves. Additionally, Houston Women March On joins other groups to call for climate justice and election accountability, oppose hateful immigration policies, and stand with young people and mothers as we defend democracy and demand social justice. We are all more powerful together! Together we create powerfully positive change, and every dollar donated to us helps mobilize more people to become catalysts for democracy together.
